This mobile drive is the perfect way to carry a large range of data from documents to music to video files and it has a stylish design that will fit any desktop. The 53223 HDD is USB 3.0 bus powered but is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports. It doesn’t require any external power as you simply need to plug it in and start using it.
The 53223 HDD is formatted in NTFS which makes it compatible with Windows systems, however Mac users will need to reformat the drive to HFS+ to make it fully compatible with Mac OSx systems. The Nero Backup software allows you to help back up your PC or laptop’s hard drive to ensure you always have your data in case of an emergency. This software is only compatible with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista and XP and is not compatible with Mac OS.
It also has Green Button energy saving software that will suspend the hard drive from spinning when it is not in use to help improve the efficiency of it while also helping to save energy. The 3 lsquo;sleep setting’ options allow you to alternate how you use this hard drive. You can set it to suspend mode after 10 minutes of use or by increments of 10 minutes up to 120 minutes. You can also set it to suspend immediately or alternatively, set it to lsquo;never suspend’ for your convenience.
